Zapata County Library Welcomes Author

Zapata County Librarian, Amelia Navarro, entered an agreement to host Natalia Sylvester to Zapata for a reading and presentation. The event is sponsored by the Texas Commission on the Arts,as part of a rural outreach program. The event is free to the public in designated counties. Zapata is one of six communities where the writer will be visiting.

Natalia Sylvester was born in Lima, Peru, when she was four years old, the family moved to the United States where they lived in parts of Florida and the Rio Grande Valley. She received her BA in Creative Writing at the University of Miami. Her books are well received and have earned her some nice recognition.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys reading or would like to pursue a career in writing. Mark your calendar now!
