The A. L. Benavides held their annual Diez y Seis Celebration. Family and friends enjoyed the variety of cultural cuisine and were entertained by the A. L Benavides Cheer Team dressed in traditional attire and performing the various dances. Jennifer Love Ramirez shared her singing talent with the group.
The Cheer Team is under the direction of Maria “Lily” Moncivais, who also wears the caps of EMT, Nurse, PEIMS and Principal’s Secretary. School Prinicpal Dr.Diana Brandon, introduced the newly appointed Counselor Amada Garza to those in attendance. Garza is a familiar face around ZCISD and is a welcome addition to the Elementary staff!
