Those with a passion for chickens or wanting to know how to begin raising a few chickens in your backyard, will be interested in the Backyard Chicken Event Saturday, April 8, at Tractor Supply in Zapata.




During the approximately 30 minute sessions, nutritional information will be presented and questions answered by experts in the field. If you are wanting to get started, you may want to know which type of chicken will best suit your needs – meat type or egg layers. You will probably have questions about health issues. Come on by! Chickens are more than just food – they can be a lot of fun.

The Zapata County Library will be allowing members to return any overdue books without the late return fees during the first two weeks of April.  See this event listing for more information.
